The inspiration for the Kunzite Earring Series came from the latest Channel Fashion Show which showcased fabulous multi-chain earrings.
For these earrings I suspended a kunzite ball enclosed inside a silver spiral and a single gunmetal ring on combined black and silver chains.

KUNZITE is the pink to light purple gem variety of the mineral Spodumene. It was discovered in 1902, and was named after George Frederick Kunz, Tiffany & Co's chief jeweler.
One gem form of Spodumene is the pink kunzite, and another gem form is the green Hiddenite. Kunzite is a very attractive gem, but it is known for its habit of color fading in strong light. It is important not to expose kunzite gems to strong light (especially sunlight) for long periods. Kunzite is sometimes called "evening stone" for this reason.
